DIFFRACTION ELEMENT AND OPTICAL HEAD DEVICE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diffraction element that can be miniaturized and easily manufactured with an improved yield, in a diffraction element having a function of diffracting light beams in multiple wavelengths.

SOLUTION: The diffraction element has periodic ruggedness 4 formed on one surface of a transparent substrate 3 and has a transparent filling material filled in the recess of the periodic ruggedness 4. The periodic ruggedness 4 is composed of a first area 1 formed so that a light wave of a wavelength λ1is diffracted in a specific direction and a second area 2 formed so that a light wave of a wavelength λ2is diffracted in a specific direction.
