<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep from switching between forward and backward movements regardless of a fail of a solenoid valve for controlling the output of D-range pressure and R-range pressure. <P>SOLUTION: Since in the D-range, the solenoid valve SR and SD are both non-excited, and in the R-range, the solenoid valve SR and SD are both excited, even if one of the solenoids fails due to disconnection or short-circuiting, there is no fear that the output oil pressure PR, PD changes to switch between forward and backward movements.
