PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a dense nonwoven fabric having air-permeability, free from pinhole and including localized fibrillated fiber. SOLUTION: The method for producing the nonwoven fabric including the localized fibrillated fiber which is localized so that the content of the fiber in one surface may be larger than that in the other side surface comprises sending out the first raw material slurry having a comparatively small content of the fibrillated fiber on a screen net of a paper machine, squeezing water therefrom to provide a wet web, sending out the second raw material slurry having a comparatively large content of the fibrillated fiber on the wet web, and subjecting the resultant web with the slurry to wet papermaking.
