PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the flexible tube excellent in heat resistance and chemical resistance for an endoscope, and the endoscope equipped therewith. SOLUTION: The flexible tube for the endoscope has a tubular core material and the outer cover applied to the outer periphery of the core material. The outer cover is constituted of a material containing a styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene block copolymer and the material constituting the outer cover further contains a polyolefin. The amount of the polyolefin in the material is 5-70 pts.wt. with respect to 100 pts.wt. of the styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene block copolymer. The polyolefin is mainly constituted of homopolypropylene. The mean thickness of the outer cover is 0.08-0.9 mm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
