PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water cut-off joint structure, and its construction method, for maintaining high water cut-off performance not only in construction but also after construction, in a joint part such as a steel plate cell and an arc or a steel pipe cell, and a steel pile sheet pile. SOLUTION: An infilling material 7 such as sand is filled in an area surrounded by the steel plate cell 1 and the arc 2, after engaging a female joint 3 with a male joint 4. A head part 4a of the male joint 4 is drawn near to the slit 3b side of the female joint 3, by receiving earth pressure of the infilling material 7, and the inner surface side of a slit 3b of the female joint 3 is brought into close contact with the head part 4a of the male joint 4. An elastic water cut-off member 5 arranged outside the slit 3b of the female joint 3 is elastically brought into close contact with a surface of the male joint 3. Water and sediment in a hollow part 3a of the female joint 3 are discharged in this state, and a curing filler 3 such as mortar is filled. After curing the filler 3, the movement of the male joint 4 in a joint part is restricted, and high water cut-off performance is maintained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
