PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent smoke from diffusing much around a roaster. SOLUTION: The roaster is configured such that a heating plate 2 is placed on the top surface of a furnace 1 heated by heating sources 21, 29, and is used for heat and cook foodstuffs on the heating plate 2 with the heat of the heating sources 21, 29. This roaster is provided with the heating plate 2 which is formed into a net shape or a grill shape capable of ventilating, an air discharging path 14, 19 for introducing air from the heating plate 2 through the heating sources 21, 29 in the furnace 1, a blower 15 for forcibly transferring the discharged air from the heating plate 2 side to the air discharging paths 14, 19 through the heating sources 21, 29 in the furnace 1, and a cooling unit 22 for cooling the discharged air to be forcibly transferred.
