PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting method or the like which enables a cut off sheet material to be mounted even if there is no space at the outside in the extending direction of the joint and it can be mounted with ease. SOLUTION: Slits 2, 2 opened into joint and extending to the joint direction are provided at respective confronting faces of the external wall joint 10, a cut off sheet material 3 having a doglegged flexible nature in the section is used, the sheet-like cut off material 3 is pushed in the joint from the outer peripheral side of the bending portion 3b into the joint so as to deflect both blades 3a, 3a inwardly to engage both blades 3a with respective slits 2 and then both blades 3a are deflected outward to force to open, and inserted to the depth of respective slits 2 and then stuck to an adhesive material 8 in the slit 2.
