PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection panel and a protection construction method used in repairing and reinforcing a deteriorated section of a concrete structure such as a tunnel to prevent coming-off of the section and prevent a lump of the deteriorated section from dropping and accumulating in the tunnel when it collapses. SOLUTION: In this protection construction method for the tunnel structure, the protection panel provided with a flange around it is additionally provided by making ribs around it oppose mutually from a side wall on one side to a side wall on the other side of the tunnel structure, and the ribs around it are fixed to form a panel assembled body, and axial force applied on the panel is received by the ribs around it for external force from tunnel structure side and is transmitted and dispersed to the whole panel assembled body to withstand external force. 1: Protection panel, 2: Window part, 3: Rib around the protection panel, 4: Central rib, 5: Hole opened in the rib around the protection panel, 6: Wedge member, 15: Bolt, nut.
