SHOE SELECTION SUPPORTING SYSTEM AND METHOD

A shoe selection supporting system capable of selecting and presenting a type of shoes suitable for a customer by estimating anatomical characteristics of the feet from a condition of the feet. The system has a measurement data inputting section (1) for measuring and inputting data representing a condition of the feet of a person to be measured, a normalizing processing section (2) for normalizing the data inputted by the measurement data inputting section (1) and at least temporarily storing the obtained normalized data, a shoe catalog database (6) where information of plural kinds of shoes is stored, and a selecting section (3) for selecting and presenting a shoe type suitable for the person, whose feet were measured, by estimating anatomical characteristics of the feet of the person based on the normalized data and then referring to the shoe catalog database (6) based on the anatomical characteristics.
