The brake lining back plate (2) of a vehicle's disc brake has at least one elongated arm (6) formed on a support section (4) for the brake lining (3) and with one end (7) connected to the support section and the free end (8) extending in the main plane of extension of the back plate close to the support section without contact. The arm is located to the side of the support section, or radially on the outside of the support section, or parallel to an outer edge of the support section, or extends transversely to the radial direction of the back plate. An independent claim is included for a brake shoe (1) for a disc brake on a vehicle equipped with the aforesaid brake lining back plate.
