A track rod 17 has cup-shaped members 5 formed integrally at each end provided with inner and outer part-spherical bearing surfaces 8 and 7 respectively. Each member 5 is mounted in a housing 9 having a threaded stud 4 to enable fitting the housing to an adjacent steering member. The housing 9 has inner and outer bearing members 12 and 14 of resilient material, e,g., polyurethane. The member 12 has a stop 6 spaced from the surface 2 of housing 9. The members 5 are formed simultaneously by profiled rollers (20), Fig. 2 (not shown), and a jumper 26, Fig. 1. Grooves 13 and '19 are provided for a rubber gaiter (not shown). |
