<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the productivity when a large amount of output is required in a small job, while restricting the load on a display system. <P>SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus 100, according to the model of a printer 50, the connection or disconnection of a post-processor 2 which is an option, and the model of the post-processor 2, a control part 11 obtains the maximum number of conveyable sheets of transfer paper, which are allowed to present on a transfer paper conveyance path simultaneously during the period from the start of paper feed to the finish of paper ejection. The control part 11 then sets the number of reservable jobs so as to satisfy the following relationship: the number of reservable jobs≥the number of conveyable sheets of transfer paper.
