PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the work efficiency in assembly of split stator iron cores into a stator for a two-pole two-phase capacitor motor, and to provide an easier and surer insulating structure to a stator iron core. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method, the stator iron core 1 is divided into a total of eight pieces composed of four pieces of split iron core bodies a4 and four pieces of split iron core bodies b5 supported between the split iron core bodies a4. In winding work, a wire is wound continuously separately for each phase with only the four pieces of split iron core bodies a4 kept, in the regular dimensions of the stator 12 around a core jig 13 by means of press parts 14. Then, the split iron core bodies b5 are united with them while being pressed from their peripheral directions, and then the press parts 14 are shifted into the core jig 13 so as to break the stator 12 away from above the core jig 13.
