<p>An indoor unit for an air conditioner, comprising an indoor unit body having an air intake port formed at the front thereof and an air outlet port formed at the lower side of the air intake port, a heat exchanger incorporated in the indoor unit body and communicating with the air intake port, a fan incorporated in the indoor unit body, a front panel installed at the front of the indoor unit body and moving in the longitudinal direction to open/close the air intake port, and a wind direction plate installed at the air outlet port and rotating according to the movement of the front panel to alter the direction of wind blowing out from the air outlet port. The front panel and the wind direction plate are disposed such that the lower end of the front panel and the upper end of the wind direction plate are positioned close to each other when the operation of the indoor unit is stopped.</p> |
