<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method which reduces the deterioration of the insulation of a driven AC motor by suppressing the surge voltage accompanying the switching of the semiconductor element of an inverter constituting a motor drive system. <P>SOLUTION: The voltage of a DC power source is converted into desired AC voltage by an inverter main circuit 4 and an inverter control circuit 4b, and at the time of the regenerative control operation of the AC motor 5 which is driven by this AC voltage in variable speed, the power supply from the above DC power source is stopped, and the input DC voltage of the inverter main circuit 4 decided by the regenerative current from the AC power source 5 is made into the above DC voltage which is possible of output of the above the AC voltage by the operation of a resistor chopper circuit 6, whereby the amplitude of the above surge voltage is made small. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
