PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform highly reliable temperature control in high cycle molding or small-sized precise molding by performing delicate temperature control for as short a time as possible. SOLUTION: In this method for controlling the temperature of the heating cylinder of an injection molding machine for controlling the driving of a heater wound around each part of the heating cylinder by feedback control based on PID control operation and performing ON/OFF of the supply of the current of an AC power supply to the heater by a semiconductor switching element having a zero cross function, the minimum unit time of ON/OFF of the feed of a current performed corresponding to the feed rate of the heater based on a PID operational result is allowed to coincide with one cycle time of the AC power supply and the control cycle itself of the feed of the current is changed to control the temperature of the heater.
