In an air conditioner, an indicator panel for indicating its operation status has a half-mirror film formed on its surface so that only a pattern illuminated by a light source provided inside is made visually recognizable. This prevents erroneous recognition of the pattern while improving the appearance. A remote control signal receiver is provided behind the indicator panel so as not to spoil the appearance.
