PURPOSE: An evaporator of a direct cooling refrigerator is provided to secure high heat transfer efficiency and to save the consumption of power by forming a refrigerant tube surface-contact groove unit for contacting a refrigerant tube to a heat transfer member. CONSTITUTION: An evaporator(66) of a direct cooling refrigerator is composed of a refrigerant tube(70) through which refrigerant flows and a heat transfer member having a refrigerant tube surface-contact groove unit(82) for surface-contacting the refrigerant tube. The heat transfer member is formed like a cylinder of which one side and the inside are opened. The refrigerant tube surface-contact groove unit is recessed on the outer periphery and protruded on the inner periphery of the heat transfer member. The refrigerant tube surface-contact groove unit is inclined along the periphery of the heat transfer member and separated at equal pitch in the vertical direction of the heat transfer member.
