PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite metal cyanide complex catalyst capable of being industrially easily produced and having high activity. SOLUTION: This composite metal cyanide complex catalyst contains t-butyl alcohol, or the t-butyl alcohol and another organic compound, as an organic ligand and comprises a particulate catalyst, wherein the particulate catalyst has a volume-average particle diameter in the range of 3-20μm, when measured by a light scattering technique in which fine particles having a particle diameter of≥15μm are measured, and catalyst particles having a particle diameter of not less than 0.15μm and not more than 1μm are contained at a ratio of less than 5 vol%, and further catalyst particles having a particle diameter of more than 1μm are contained at a ratio of more than 95 vol% but not more than 100 vol%.
