SOLID POLYELECTROLYTE, FILM USING IT, CATALYST ELECTRODE LAYER, FILM/ELECTRODE JUNCTION, AND FUEL CELL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid polyelectrolyte in which a defect that it is inferior in anti-oxidization that a sulufonated aromatic polymer compound used as a substitute has is eliminated because the fluorine based electrolyte film useful as a solid polyelectrolyte is expensive, and which has a practically sufficient high durability by using the sulufonated aromatic polymer compound which is more inexpensive than the fluorine based electrolyte film and which is easy to manufacture, a solid polyelectrolyte film made of the solid polyelectrolyte, furthermore a catalyst electrode layer composed of the solid polyelectrolyte, a film/electrode junction using the electrode layer, and a fuel cell using the film/electrode junction.

SOLUTION: This aromatic hydrocarbon based polymer compound is composed of a repetition unit in which a main chain has a structure expressed by the following formula (1) (Ar1is a divalent aromatic compound and its derivative), and the solid polyelectrolyte having the aromatic acid derivative expressed by the following formula (2) and an aromatic compound expressed by a formula (3) as a side chain substituting group is obtained.
