<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the reliability of communications between a feeder and a mounter through a simple arrangement. <P>SOLUTION: A tape feeder 4 is fixed removably to a feeder fixing plate 16 provided at the component feeding section of a mounter body. A radio communicable tag 21 for recording the information of a feeder 4 and a component being contained therein is embedded in the tape feeder 4 at a position facing the feeder fixing plate 16 which is embedded with an antenna substrate 22 having an antenna coil 22a. The tape feeder 4 is provided with a pair of pins 17 for positioning the feeder 4 to the feeder fixing plate 16 and the radio tag 21 is provided between these positioning pins 17.
