<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing system for providing courtesy/privilege information to a card user having a mobile device and to enable the user to know information on the courtesy/privilege information provided by the issuing company of a card which the user has at a current position. <P>SOLUTION: The information providing system includes a courtesy information database for storing courtesy information including locations and names of stores and facilities affiliated with each card issuing company and contents of courtesy or the like; a user information database for storing user IDs of card users and names of the cards; and network connection in communication with a network including a mobile communication network. In response to access that requests the courtesy information with the addition of the position information and the user ID obtained using the mobile device, a courtesy information creating part extracts the name of the card from the user information database and uses the name of the card to extract from the courtesy information database the courtesy information including the name of the story or facility in an area where the user is located.
