PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solenoid valve capable of increasing greatly the force to slide a plunger and enable a small construction to be realized. SOLUTION: The solenoid valve is equipped with a housing 1 having shaft holes 2a and 3a extending in the axial direction and ports 11a-11g formed in the radial direction, a coil 4 fixed to the housing 1, a plunger 5 accommodated in the shaft hole 3a slidably and capable of sliding inside the shaft hole 3a when the current is fed to the coil 4, and a spool 6 moving in the axial direction synchronously with the plunger 5, opening and closing the ports 11a-11g by its movement in the axial direction, and controlling the flow of a working oil. A first permanent magnet 13 is installed in the shaft holes 2a and 3a, and when current is fed to the coil 4, the plunger 5 is magnetized so as to have polarities to exert an attracting force with respect to the magnetism of the first permanent magnet 13.
