NON-CROSSLINKING FLAME RETARDANT RESIN COMPOSITION, INSULATED WIRE AND WIRE HARNESS USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-crosslinking flame retardant resin composition having sufficient flame retardancy, mechanical characteristics, flexibility and workability together with causing no deterioration for a long period and having excellent heat-resistant characteristics; and to provide an insulated wire and a wire harness using the same.

SOLUTION: The composition contains (B) a metal hydrate, (C) a hindered-phenolic antioxidant, (D) a sulfur-based antioxidant and (E) a metal oxide in (A) a non-crosslinking base resin comprising a propylene-based resin having ≥50 wt.% propylene monomer content. Wherein an imidazole compound and zinc oxide are preferably used as components of (D) and (E), respectively. The composition is used as an insulating cover material for a non-halogenic insulated wire and the wire is used in a wire bundle of a wire harness.
