摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hazardous waste storage management method which can exactly grasp the amount of hazardous waste existing in a storage tank and efficiently apply the storage tank by making use of its capacity. SOLUTION: The method for managing storage of hazardous waste existing in the storage tank comprises a first process for measuring the distance from a reference surface P in the storage tank to the upper end of the hazardous waste at a plurality of points in the storage tank by utilizing ultrasonic, a second process for calculating the volume of the hazardous waste existing in the storage tank based on a plurality of distance data obtained in the first process, and a third process for comparing the volume of the hazardous waste which was obtained in the second process and the maximum volume of the hazardous waste capable of containing in the storage tank, and calculating the volume of the hazardous waste capable of additionally thrown in the storage tank. By using the volume of the hazardous waste capable of additionally thrown in that was obtained in the third process, the storage of the hazardous waste existing in the storage tank is managed.
