PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven power steering device capable of largely enhancing the wear durability by improving the lubricating performance using a tooth form in a special shape. SOLUTION: The motor-driven power steering device includes a worm gear mechanism structured so that a worm 2 driven by an electric motor 4 is meshed with a worm wheel 3 provided on the output shaft 5, in which the tooth face of the worm wheel 3 and the tooth face of the worm 2 are formed as a special-shaped tooth form having a first contacting line and a second contacting line intersecting the slide contacting direction of the worm 2 and intersecting each other where the tooth face of an intermediate gear assumes a conical surface.
