<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic recording device that detects defocus of an LED head by a simpler method. <P>SOLUTION: The device is provided with a density sensor 11 that prints a ten-gradation pattern onto a conveyance belt and reads the density of the gradation pattern transferred onto the conveyance belt. A control circuit 20 compares density read by the density sensor 11 with a reference value stored in the ten-gradation density reference value memory 22. Based upon the result of the comparison, the control circuit 20 determines whether light thrown to the surface of a photoreceptor drum by the LED head is out of focus or not. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
