<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it easy to park a vehicle at a parking place with the radio-wave situation in which a theft-prevention device mounted on the vehicle can easily transmit theft information. <P>SOLUTION: In a vehicle-mounted theft prevention device equipped with a theft detection means installed on the vehicle for detecting a vehicle theft and a wireless communication means designed to give a specific report when the theft is detected, the device is further provided with a judgment means capable of making the judgment on whether or not a target parking area is an effective area allowing a communication means to transmit the report from the target parking area or whether or not there is such a transmission possibility (steps 32, 35, and 44) to make it possible to learn whether or not the parking area is an effective area without actively driving the vehicle to the place in question. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
