PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guiding light, which enables a user to easily maintain the guiding light as well as to easily determine a life span of a battery and a time period of the guiding light being lighted. SOLUTION: The guiding light comprises a circuit for monitoring a battery voltage, which monitors the battery voltage and sends out a result of monitoring the battery voltage, a circuit for monitoring an emergency lamp, which monitors a current for the lamp when the lamp comes on in an emergency and sends out a result of monitoring the current, and a circuit for monitoring a life span of the lamp, which monitors the time period of the lamp being lighted and sends out the total time period of the illumination. The guiding lamp apparatus can display a comprehensive result derived from the circuits for monitoring the battery, the emergency lamp, and the life span of the guiding lamp, and also can display the results independently of each circuit for monitoring the battery and the emergency lamp, as well as the result of the circuit for monitoring the lamp to determine the life span of it.
