PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dehydration treatment method of sludge capable of forming stable large flocs in sludge hard to dehydrate such as excess sludge or the like especially produced in the food industry or the like without increasing the ratio of a flocculant added to sludge and capable of stably reducing the water content of a dehydrated cake. SOLUTION: In the dehydration treatment method of sludge, an inorganic flocculant is added to sludge and a polymer flocculant, which contains a nonionic or anionic polymer flocculant containing 20 mol% or below of an anion constituent unit and an amphoteric polymer flocculant at least the same thereto in amount, is subsequently adderd to the sludge.
