PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separate end feed paper sheets with high precision by a simple constitution. SOLUTION: Bundled registered mails M are held to a vertical posture and fed on a placing stand 101, which is inclined downward in a feed direction, under their own weights while the surfaces of them are pressed by a pressing plate 102 and only the foremost registered mail M is separated at the terminal part of the placing stand by a separation and feed means 103 to be fed laterally. When a pressing force detecting sensor 146 is turned ON by the heavy pressure of the registered mail M, an arranging means 104 is operated to reversely rotate friction belt devices 113,114 and 115 and the only the foremost registered mail M is fed by a lateral feed means 105 while the other mails are returned rearward to prevent the overlap feed of the registered mails M. Further, since the end part of the second registered mail M is sucked in a sub-chamber 106, the overlap feed of the registered mails M is prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
