Information related to a program being broadcasted is stored in advance. When a request for the related information is accepted from a client terminal (CT) receiving the broadcast signals of the program, the related information is read and transmitted to the client terminal (CT). In such a case, when the program being broadcasted is changed to the next program, the related information to be read and transmitted is updated. Thus, updating related information to be transmitted upon a program change can eliminate the time lag between a program and its related information, thereby realizing correspondence between the program and its related information.
