<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor capable of detecting a short circuit occurred by the adhesion of a conductive foreign substance, manufacturing defects or the like in a circuit using a power supply of large capacity at start time and operation time. <P>SOLUTION: The information processor 1 comprises a large capacity power supply 20 having a switching circuit 202, a large current using circuit 30 to which power is supplied from the switching circuit 202 through a secondary power supply line 60, a short circuit monitoring device 40 having a current measuring circuit 402 for measuring a current value of the secondary power supply line 60 and a short circuit monitoring circuit 401 storing a short circuit threshold value S, and a control part 80 connected to the short circuit monitoring circuit 401 through a communication signal line (a).
