PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine a time when all contacts are weld-deposited, or they are exchanged, in a contact life determining device. SOLUTION: A voltage across a relay is acquired (S12) by inputting and breaking the relay (S10). A monitoring voltage Va is set between a first voltage V<SB>1</SB>at the time when an arc is generated in one pair of contacts and a second voltage V<SB>2</SB>at the time when an arc is generated in both of two pairs of contacts, and in data of the voltage across the relay, a period wherein the voltage is not less than the monitoring voltage Va is added, and the period is computed as a risk period Ta. The computed risk period Ta is compared with a threshold Te determined in advance in a test or the like in terms of their magnitudes (S16), and when Ta has not reached the Te, it is determined that the relay is not weld-deposited or has not reached an exchange time, and when it reaches the Te, it is determined that the relay is in a risk of weld-depositing, or it is in the exchange time, and a warning is outputted (S18).
