PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide antifouling and antimicrobial clay which is improved in an antifouling effect and antimicrobial effect as a photocatalyst, sustains the effects for a long period of time and is highly durable by directly kneading photocatalyst titanium oxide into the clay without using a binder component. SOLUTION: The antifouling and antimicrobial clay is composed of the photocatalyst titanium oxide and glass microballoon or plastic microballoon as principal components and contains fiber powder, sizing agent and water as main constituents therein. Fillers for preventing shrinkage, pigments, extenders. surfactants, antiseptics, etc., may be added and compounded to and with the above clay in addition to the main constituents described above.
