PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag which can further reduce impact which is applied to the obstacle in the case when an obstacle exists in the middle of the expansion development. SOLUTION: After the development stage of the bag body 10 is transferred from the initial development stage to the following development stage, the main body section 14 of a sliding cloth 22 closes first vent holes 20a and 20b accompanying the expansion development. The whole of the main body section 24 is covered with a cover cloth 23 which is sewn to a side surface section 10a of the bag body 10. The cover cloth 23 guides the main body section 24 in such a manner that the main body section 24 may develop without separating from the side surface section 10a of the bag body 10.
