PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems in a conventional password system wherein a password leakage is extremely serious and a complicated password and procedure cause the limit of storage and complicated operability in addition to difficulty in keeping the password confidential. SOLUTION: This system is provided with a password generating means in a first apparatus for generating a first temporary password based on the time read from a first display part, and the inputted password and unlocking frequency, and a password generating means in a second apparatus for generating a second temporary password based on the time read from a second display part, and the password and unlocking frequency stored in the own device. The system is further provided with a password collating means for the second apparatus for collating the first temporary password and the second temporary password when the generated first temporary password is inputted to the second apparatus, and unlocking an electronic lock provided at the second apparatus if the passwords are coincident.
