PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method and a coating apparatus for enhancing washability of a specific part and preventing secondary dribble of an undercoat. SOLUTION: This apparatus is provided with: a washing tank 44 filled with a washing solution for washing electrodeposition coating and for dipping a car body B; and ultrasonic oscillators 445, 446 dipped in the washing solution in the washing tank and disposed at a position facing the narrowed part of the car body.
