OPTICAL DEMULTIPLEXER HAVING BRAGG DIFFRACTION GRATING AND OPTICAL COMMUNICATION MODULE USING SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical demultiplexer having a Bragg diffraction grating for minimizing the crosstalk on a transmission side and reception side of an optical signal. SOLUTION: The optical demultiplexer with a Bragg diffraction grating uses a waveguide which has first and second waveguides 110 and 120 arranged adjacently to each other in a prescribed section for the purpose of mode coupling and transfers the reception light inputted from one end 110a of the first waveguide to an optical detector PD through the second waveguide and outputs the transmission light inputted from the other end 110b of the first waveguide 110b through the one end of the first waveguide. The optical demultiplexer has the first Bragg diffraction grating 121 which is formed on the second waveguide in order to minimize the crosstalk by transmitting nearly 100% of the wavelength of the received light and reflecting nearly 100% of the wavelength of the transmission light and has wavelength selectivity.
