PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve shorter working hours for lock bolt insertion work by reducing labor in a difficult work of inserting a lock bolt into a hole. SOLUTION: The lock bolt installation device is composed of a main body part placed in a pit, a movable extension part projected from the main body, a moving part 12, which is provided at the tip end of the movable extension part, to be placed in front of one of a plurality of holes formed in a pit wall accordingly. The moving part 12 includes a lock bolt insertion means 21 for insertion of a lock bolt 4 within the pit. The lock bolt insertion means 21, furthermore, is provided with a plurality of rollers 33, 34 holding the lock bolt 4 from both sides and a roller rotation mechanism 35 to rotate the rollers 33, 34 toward the forwarding direction.
