PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a coating-type antistatic agent giving a coating film having improved smoothness, suppressing new electrostaticity generation by friction and having high heat resistance and abrasion resistance. SOLUTION: This coating-type antistatic agent is obtained by incorporating an aqueous solution of polyethylene oxide with hydrophilic silicon dioxide microparticles, a surfactant and a conductor. In the antistatic agent, the silicon dioxide microparticles may have silanol group, and also may be 5-100 nm in mean size, and the conductor is e.g. an organic ionic conductive agent wherein metallic ions are sealed in an unsaturated polyester oligomer, electrically conductive powder of metal or its oxide( electronic conductor ).
