The sealing element has a closed sealing profile (3) of flexible and at least partially elastic material with interacting attachment arrangements (5) on the ends (3a,3b) that are brought together. The attachment arrangement consists of a hard plastic and extends essentially over the entire length of the ends of the sealing profile. An independent claim is also included for the following: (a) a method of manufacturing a closed sealing profile.
