PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an organic pigment subjected to adsorption treatment with an organic colorant derivative or a triazine derivative and having excellent dispersion stability. SOLUTION: This organic pigment subjected to the adsorption treatment is produced by treating an organic pigment with an organic colorant derivative having a basic functional group or a triazine derivative having a basic functional group in water to attain an adsorption area corresponding to≥50% of the BET specific surface area of the organic pigment on the assumption that the adsorption site is the skeleton part of the organic colorant of the organic colorant derivative.
