PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION CONTAINING DECOY AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME

A pharmaceutical composition for treating and preventing diseases, disorders and/or conditions caused by the expression of a gene under the regulation by NF-kappaB or ets which contains at least one decoy and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. The at least one decoy as described above is selected from among an NF-kappaB decoy, an ets decoy and an NF-kappaB/ets chimeric decoy. The above-described diseases include encephalic aneurysm, cancer, Marfan's syndrome, aortic dissection, postangioplastic restenosis, rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, atopic dermatitis, nephritis, renal insufficiency and plaque rupture. Alternatively, the above diseases include diseases relating to abnormalities in eosinophils (for example, asthma, blood diseases, allergic diseases and parasitic diseases). The pharmaceutically acceptable carrier as described above may be a hydrophilic polymer, liposomes, etc.
