<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device for a vehicle capable of securing visibility even in a state where the surrounding is dark without remarkably increasing the number of parts. <P>SOLUTION: A CCD camera 11 having the sensitivity of an infrared area 53 is installed on an outside mirror 2 for the vehicle so that an area near a left front wheel 4 becomes an imaging area 41. Also, the imaging area 41 is included in the radiating area of a clearance lamp 30 on the left side of the vehicle, an infrared transmission filter 33 is installed at a position where the visible light of radiating light in the direction of the imaging area 41 can be cut off, and that area is used as an infrared radiating area 43. By this, the clearance lamp 30 can radiate infrared ray to the imaging area 41. Since, when the clearance lamp 30 is lit when the surrounding is dark, the infrared ray is radiated to the imaging area 41, the imaging area 41 can be viewed through the CCD camera 11. As a result, the imaging area can be viewed even in the state where the surrounding is dark without newly installing a lighting appliance for radiating the infrared ray. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
