PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaner for an optical connector which is excellent in a suppression property for occurrence of static electricity, cleaning property for tape and prevention of moisture from moving to connecter terminals and especially, extremely excellent in the cleaning property for oily dirt. SOLUTION: In the cleaner for an optical connector which is equipped with a washing tape for washing the fiber end face of the optical connector, the washing tape is constituted of cloth fabrics consisting of extremely fine fibers in which fineness of a single fiber is≤1 dtex, and also is a wet tape whose moisture deposit rate measured according to Japanese Industrial Standards L1013 is in the range of 5 to 15 wt.%.
