PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pants-type disposable wear article with a movable part of a barrier flap located in a crotch zone, satisfactorily functioning as a barrier against excrement without inhibiting the absorbing function in an excrement absorbing zone. SOLUTION: This pants-type disposable wear article 1A comprises a first barrier flap 13 located on the side of a first side flap 11, extending in the longitudinal direction, and a second barrier flap located on the side of a second side flap, extending in the longitudinal direction. A first folding line 30 forked from around a rising base point 25 of the first barrier flap 11 toward a side edge 29 of the first side flap 11 and a second folding line forked from around a rising base point of the second barrier flap toward a side edge of the second side flap are formed on the crotch zone 6. In the crotch zone 6, a first section 33 is folded inward in the cross direction of the article 1A via the first folding line 30, a second section is folded inward in the cross direction of the article 1A via the second folding line, and the movable parts 24 of the first and second barrier flaps 13 are extended linearly in the longitudinal direction without being folded inward in the cross direction of the article 1A.
