PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of wrinkles or wall thickness reduction of a tubular member generated when forming the tubular member by using liquid pressure forming. SOLUTION: In the method for liquid pressure forming of tubular member in which a temporarily formed product 9 formed by overlapping metal plates K1 and K2 and welding outer peripheral parts 9a thereof is held between a pair of upper and lower recessed dies 1 and 2, and the temporarily formed product 9 is expanded in the recessed dies 1 and 2 by feeding liquid forming medium of high pressure between the metal plates K1 and K2 of the temporarily formed product 9, the temporarily formed product 9 is expanded in the recessed dies 1 and 2 while arbitrarily adjusting flow of the outer peripheral parts 9a into the recessed dies 1 and 2.
