PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a votive candle which makes privacy-protected prayer offering possible without being read by others the prayers written in an inside surface of an envelope of the candle and can also respond to diverse intention of prayers. SOLUTION: The votive candle is wound around its whole outside surface by an inflammable girdlelike material whose winding start end is stuck fast to a side surface of the candle and its remaining inside part is for expressing prayer's intention.
