PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the yield of a material when manufacturing a clutch hub, to reduce environmental burdens, and to reduce the manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: A part of a stock tube is cut to a predetermined width to obtain a circular tube part 3b. An end part of the circular tube part 3b is drawn inwardly in the radial direction to form an annular bottom plate part 3a and to eliminate any portion to form scraps. By using an electric welded tube for the stock tube, the material cost can be considerably reduced compared with a case of using a seamless pipe. Since no uneven surface 4 is formed on an electric welded portion 5 inevitable for the electric welded tube, the uneven surface 4 can be formed on the circular tube part 3b in a condition cut out of the stock tube without performing annealing and bead cut of the electric welded portion 5.
